You're thinking big picture, and you make some good points. However, hanging on to so many photos can be difficult for most, and finding people who are interested in them is yet another challenge.

Since I went through them all with my wife, I was able to pick out a few I thought were interesting, especially the vacation snapshots. I know somewhere down the line, I will make use of them.
