I worry about many of the things you mentioned. My wife and I have no children and I am estranged from most of my family, so future care maybe an issue.

My ex-wife had to take care of her mother with dementia without any help from her two brothers, who wanted nothing to do with the situation, so I'm aware of what you're talking about.
