I thought about doing something like this, but there are a few things I've had to consider. The biggest is whether or not my former skills will translate into new media like podcasting. Radio is dying because of music streaming services, even though radio executives would say otherwise. Also, something called voice tracking was introduced 20 years ago. This is where one person could voice a 4-hour show in 30 minutes. A computer puts the voice tracks in the right places. This process allows a DJ to be on multiple stations around the country and sadly, takes away a lot of jobs. Why hire a full time staff if someone can record a show quickly? This is not the same as syndication. It's not like an AI voice, either, although even that may happen some day.
