I struggle with these kinds of books. To me they reek of fan fiction, which I don’t enjoy, yet I’m ok with new movies featuring stories from the same character. For example, the James Bond films used up Ian Fleming’s novels long ago, and I’m ok with that. The contradiction is unfair, really, but I like what I like.
