I heartily agree that seeing it as a lifestyle change would be helpful, especially since there are changes that will be permanent.

For example, the diabetes, even the type 2 kind, will be with me for the rest of my life, so getting used to less carbs permanently requires a shift in thinking.

I have wasted so much money on gym memberships over the years. I know what you're saying on an intellectual level, but I've never made it stick. You can only do it so many times before you realize it's never going to work.

Home fitness equipment is the only thing that has ever given me a chance.
