Dick, you make some great points, ones that I can't yet see from my vantage point. I know quite a few seniors who are in a relationship, yet live in and maintain separate houses, and you've helped me to understand why. They get the companionship without the messy bits.

Having said that, let's not forget the 10X number. Those men are marrying someone, which mens there are more than enough women who want to remarry. In addition, women outlive men, which means there are fewer men to choose from as we all age.
