At my father's funeral, one of his sisters was wailing and crying so loud you could hear her outside the mortuary. At one point a member of the staff asked me if that was the widow. Meanwhile, my mom sat quietly by his coffin. I know she hurt more than my aunt, she just wasn't capable of that sort of demonstrative behavior.

I love that your father cared for people that much, but I'm sure the woman was not the only one to feel like that about his passing. They just didn't show it the same way.
